Expo Village is a new vibrant, multicultural, open, and dynamic residential community with a mixture of modern energy-efficient residential buildings, pedestrian promenades, and landscaped recreational areas. It is strategically located between the cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, approximately 35 km southwest from Downtown Dubai and can accommodate 3500 participants in 2100 units during Expo 2020 event. Each residential tower offers a mix of studios, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.
THE CHALLENGE
The scope of work included supply of Jupiter recessed linear fittings to illuminate corridors in brand-new residential towers. The light fittings meeting residents’ experience requirements had to be customized as per special ID requirements, that in turn could affect project completion date. Nonetheless, all the challenges paid off since we had extensive lighting products knowledge and over 50 years of experience in illuminating commercial and residential properties. .
THE SOLUTION
The product was delivered to the site within a short timeframe of 35 days that included production and transportation and within the budget set by Contractor. BMTC had to manufacture customized linear light fittings 1.5 and 1.2 meters to assure expected standards are fulfilled. BMTC continues a successful and rewarding relationship with the client by providing 5-year warranty.
